No Freedom without Christianity

Without Christianity there would be no freedom today. In other words, a nation or a people
cannot attain lasting freedom without following the Commandments of God and the Teachings
of Jesus Christ. It’s impossible, because the source from which freedom originates is God.
The Founding Fathers of our Great Nation were wise and they understood this.
All attempts to gain freedom by some other method or belief eventually leads to failure and
oppression. History says so, because no other religion or belief provides the framework and
instruction which promotes and protects individual freedoms like Christianity does. Other
attempts simply do not work.
Why do I mention this?
Well, because many today trust in the Government to take care of their every need. And they
dream of a Socialist Utopia where everyone is equal, free, and secure. Do they not understand
that a Government system can not bring you blessings and happiness? Only God can.
Take for instance the American Revolution and the French Revolution. Both Revolutions
sought Liberty and Freedom, one ended up obtaining freedom and the other ended in chaos
and tyranny. Why? The answer is simple, because one nation relied upon God for their
independence and the other relied upon man.
Has a Muslim nation, a Hindu nation, a Buddhist nation, an Atheist nation, or any other nation
ever enjoyed freedom like Christian America? No way. The Muslim nations live under fear and
oppression. The Atheist nations live much the same way along with most other non-Christian
nations. Remember the oppression of the Atheistic Communist Empire “The Soviet Union”?
They certainly didn’t spread freedom. Their people lived daily in fear and oppression.
Why cannot people realize that there is only one path to freedom? Christ is the only proven
path. All other ways of life lead eventually to misery and oppression. And we don’t need a
World Government to protect us and to promise to give us peace!
It is God who teaches mankind how to live happy, free, and blessed. He wants us to enjoy the
fruit of our labors (Micah 4:4), He doesn’t want us to be oppressed, whether it’s by over
taxation or any other means. It’s simply not his way. That’s why God gave us the
commandments and the law, that if properly followed would insure and protect our liberties and
freedoms from those who would like to take them from us. Moses explained this to the Israelites
after God saved them and gave them freedom and independence from Egypt.
Our Founding Fathers adhered to Moses’ instruction from God. They relied upon God for
independence and even developed the Constitution from the Bible. The Founders took to
heart that mankind can be selfish, full of pride, and tends to abuse power. For “The Heart is
deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” (Jeremiah 17:9) And the
Founders knew that only the Word of God could restrain this weakness. But the Atheists and
non-believers are left unrestrained because they do not believe in God or His Law. And if given
power, I assure you, they will abuse it and you!
So do not put your trust in Government, some Socialist Utopia, or a New World Order to give
you peace, security, and prosperity, because they will strip you of every God given right you
have. I promise you.
Only through Jesus Christ can we truly be free and happy. As it is written:
Jesus came to bring freedom! Is there any wonder why Christians have been so successful in
attaining freedom? Not really, because freedom is the message of Christianity.

this day, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, and that thou

- “The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, because He hath anointed Me to preach the gospel
to the poor; He hath sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the
captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To
preach the acceptable year of the LORD.”(Luke 4:18-19)
Jesus came to bring freedom! Is there any wonder why Christians have been so successful in
