Standing against Evil!

Conquering Evil

There is no doubt that there are “evil forces” working overtime to destroy America and all that
she stands for. These forces would like nothing more than to see Christianity totally removed
from America so that they can gain total control, because they know that Christianity is the only
thing standing in their way.
A major weapon of these forces is the mainstream media which attempts to brainwash us and
break our spirits on a daily basis by spewing out lies, negative news, and uncertainty. We were
attacked by this weapon before the elections this year. The Media continually spewed twisted
lies and distortions in an effort to make the public unhappy with the current administration so
that people would become discontent and vote for “change”. They were successful. Today they
continually tell us how bad things are and that we may be entering into another “Great
Depression.” Why? Perhaps to set us up for an even greater change.
We as Christians must never become fearful of these forces. “For God hath not given us the
spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of sound mind” (II Timothy 1:9).
We must face the harsh reality that we are at war. And God has chosen us as His servants to
fight this war and do all that we can to STAND AGAINST EVIL! That is our commission and this is
our destiny. The entire Bible illustrates this.
For example, in the Great Book of Revelation, “Overcoming” or “Conquering Evil” is the main
message that Jesus delivered to the churches. In fact, the word “overcometh” is used 17 times in
Revelation and the Greek meaning is “to conquer or overcome.” That’s right, TO CONQUER!
Jesus didn’t send us into the world to look pretty, He sent us into the world to defeat the “forces
of evil” by using the sword of truth!
Here are a few instances the Greek word translated—“overcometh” is used:
Beloved, the last verse I quoted here is one that many Christians do not understand. Do you?
Are you going to be part of the group that achieves the victory? The “Beast” mentioned in the
verse above is beginning to rise out of the sea today (Revelation 13) and is symbolic of an anti-
Christian New World Order. The rising of this Beast is becoming more evident each day as we
watch the events happening around the world. This is the enemy we face today and this is the
enemy that we are to conquer. Are you mentally prepared?
Many of us listen to “Conservative Talk Radio” expose the agenda of “the left.” And without
saying it and many of the talk radio hosts not knowing it, the enemy they fight is the “Beast”
prophesied in the Bible. And God bless them all for the service they do educating our people.
But we must understand that “the left” are only the deceived brainwashed henchmen of the
beast; there are much higher forces involved that influence and control the left. So let us stay
focused and be aware of the head of the serpent and not merely distracted by its tail (Genesis 3:
15). You know what happens if you chase a serpent’s tail don’t you? You get bit.
Why do I bring this up? Well, we are in a psychological / spiritual war and many do not
understand the true nature of the enemy (Ephesians 6). They only see what the enemy wants
them to see. Although our enemy has a simple battle plan to “divide and conquer”, they are
highly sophisticated and much more organized than many people realize (Joel 2). Look at how
they have divided our nation into two political parties. Beloved, it is imperative that we
understand the true nature of the enemy if we are to have the VICTORY! As it is written:
Do you know his number? Can you identify the enemy and his operations?
Many cannot. And it is sad that many are not mentally or spiritually prepared for what’s coming.
When it comes to facing evil face to face, many of our dear Christian brothers and sisters get
frightened. And their fear has caused them to search for escape routes and false securities; one
of which is the “rapture theory.” That is to say the belief that Jesus is going to take all of his
favorites out of the earth before the “Great Tribulation” begins. God sent us into the earth to
CONQUER EVIL not to run from it. And instead of running from trouble, we must trust in God and
know that he can protect us in times of trouble. Remember, He never promised it would be easy
to be a Christian. Just look at Jesus’ life and the troubles He went through CONQUERING EVIL!
Stand strong, and become educated in the Word of God, because only with the knowledge of
God will you be able to withstand the “forces of evil” in these troubled times.
